Cream busted in with a .22 caliber gun and forced Sphynx to get up. I knew she knew something was up but I couldn't believe she would do something like this.
"Getcho trifling ass up NOW", Cream shouted.
Her voice was louder than I ever remembered it being.
"Baby, what are you doing?", I asked stupidly
"Sit your bitch ass down", she replied.
"Sphynx, you are a nasty hoe. I'm not gone do no more talking. Your ass should known that I was going to find out. Rest in hell Bitch", Cream spitted.
BOOM
Instantly blood started pouring from the single shot womb to Sphynx's stomach. Cream just smirked and walked out. I couldn't believe what had just happened. Sphynx was dead. Her eyes as empty as Creams heart.
(Ring Ring)
I woke up in a cold sweat. I looked over and saw Sphynx still sleeping. My chest was heaving up and down like I had just had a training session at the gym.
"Hello?", I answered panicked
"What's wrong baby? You ok", Cream asked on the other line.
"Yea, yea, yea", I replied.
I moved towards my spare bedroom to get out of earshot of Sphynx. I didn't need her to secretly hear my conversation while pretending to be sleep. I knew all too well how sneaky women could be.
"Breakfast at Johnny's ? I'm thinking I can meet you there at 9." she asked.
I looked down at my watch which wasn't there.
"What time is it?", I asked.
"Jay, you sleeping in on a Saturday? It's 7:52", she sounded surprised.
Usually I was up at 5 and head to the gym on my Saturday. It was a ritual I had since I had met Cream and she knew me all too well. Just then my stomach started rumbling thinking about my favorite at Johnny's: Cinnamon french toast with a side of turkey bacon. I needed to see Cream anyway. The truth was I still loved this woman with everything in me but I had fallen for another woman. I needed to see if she knew anything was up. I agreed to meet her there and proceeded to the shower to get out the house before Sphynx woke up.
"Baby?", Sphnyx said sleepily.
"Yea bae, you ok?", I asked back.
She opened the shower curtain and joined me in the shower. She hugged me and put her head on my chest.
"I need to go out of town for a few days days to go see my folks. You think you can get a few days off to go with me?" Sphynx asked.
Truth was, I needed a break from Sphynx. I needed to reclaim my space back that she seemed to want to be in at all times. Even Cream gave me that space that I needed that made me miss her.
"I can't baby. I have some things I have to do that I have a few deadlines on.I wish I could though", I offered.
Hoping my last statement would dead the conversation. I quickly jumped out and suggested she stay in to relax. I just threw on some Levis and a white Tee and some old Air Max I had laying around. Truth be told, I was excited to see Cream. I even stropped by CVS down the street from Johnny's and picked up some cardinals for Cream. That dream felt all too real and that was the least I could do.
