The night was winding down and I was becoming unhopeful that he wold walk through those door I kept looking at. I was waiting for my to-go box for my strawberry cheesecake, which I ordered just to waste time. I was full and I knew I wouldn't eat it. My date was being very nice but the truth was he bored me.
"Here you go," the server said with an attitude.
I guess she was ready to go home and I was holding her up. Kids were filing out because the restaurant had closed 20 minute ago. I finally just sucked it up and was ready to leave. I was disappointed I didn't see him again but it was what it was. We walked outside to the car while my old classmates were in the parking lot with the music blasting. Girls were grinding on the guys right outside, some people were making out, others were flirting and being very mannish from what I could gather. Although I enjoyed seeing others look foolish, I was bummed.
"These bitches are crazy, what you wanna do next?" Josh said breaking me out my thoughts.
"I'm just ready to go," I stated.
Just then Do or Die's song Po Pimp came on.
Do you wanna riiide?
In the backseat, of a Caddy
Chop it up, with Do or Die
If you were from Chicago, then you understood that was our shit! We all excitedly said every word :
Seven double oh P.M.
Fly low to them hoes in the B-M
Sipping Seagram, chewin on a wheat stem
Touching on my fo' fin
Move it to the back so I can see who beeping this Po Pimp
Spring to the phone with a slow limp
In a trip that shitted with 3-1-2-7-6-2-10
Three line connection
As the rest of them wanted affection
Just bring the weed, we got the drinks you need
And plus we strapped with two protections
I put the phone in the hook, then I pause for a minute
Cause I forgot where I met the hoe
And the feeling I've forgotten if the hoes wanna snap
I straight up check the hoe, really doe
To the crib
We were all pretty pumped after that and I'm sure nobody wanted the night to end.
"So, you stalking me now?" someone said.
I turned around quick, ready to cuss somebody's child out.
Obviously my face didn't interpret how I really felt once I saw him.
"Whoa, Whoa, I'm sorry," he chuckled.
My face softened and I smiled and every since that day, JC and I were pretty much inseparable. Up, until J. Walker was introduced in my life.
